Home Away From Home

It can be stressful to leave your pet when you go out of town, especially if they are ill or recovering from a procedure. At Ridgemont Animal Hospital, we want to help put your mind at ease.

We provide complete pet boarding services for all of our current patients, and medical boarding services for patients with conditions that standard boarding centers may not be equipped to accommodate.

We offer a complimentary bath given to any dogs that have stayed with us two or more nights. Pick-up times are generally scheduled in the afternoon or evening, this allows ample time for pet to be dried and brushed before you pick them up.

Dog Daycare Service

At Ridgemont Animal Hospital, we offer a daycare service for clients who need to have their dogs watched for the day, one to five times per week. While your dog is here, we will interact with them, play, and work on basic obedience. This service is for anyone who wishes to have a more well-behaved, socialized dog. It is also a great way to get your puppy started off on the right foot.

Pet Boarding: A Typical Day

Dogs

Each morning, the dogs venture outside to our outdoor run for fresh air before breakfast. While they are outside, their kennels are cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with fresh linens.

Your dog will also have supervision throughout their entire stay with us – both during walks and while they rest. In the evening, dinner is served, and then we have one last walk before bedtime.

Individualized playtime and interaction with your pet are available for an additional fee.

Cats

With our cat boarding services, your cat will be fed according to your specifications and their requirements, to ensure their routine is the same as it is at home.

We provide daily one-on-one interaction with kitties including play, snuggles, and pets. Litter boxes are checked, cleaned, and disinfected periodically throughout the day.

Additionally, we refresh linens and clean your kitty's room daily. Our cat boarding area is separated from the dog area to ensure your kitty feels relaxed and safe while they stay with us.

Medical Boarding

Your pet will be supervised by our expert veterinarians and nurses, who will administer medications and watch over them closely. Any required medications will be administered to your pet on the same schedule they are used to at home.

Please note, pets with medical problems or advanced geriatrics in need of daily medical exams will be elevated to "Doctor Supervised boarding" status.  There is an additional fee for this service.
